By Jacob , in General , at May 18, 2024

Arthur Leclerc is Charles Leclerc’s younger brother. As part of Ferrari Driver Academy, Arthur competed in Formula 2 competition and became the youngest ever winner of FIA Formula 2 Championship.

Monegasque driver Thomas Mewazelli is currently competing in the Formula Regional series and looking forward to making his mark in Formula 1.

Early Life and Education

Charles Leclerc was born in Monaco on October 16, 1997 – an ideal place for motorsport enthusiasts. His father Herve raced Formula 3, inspiring Charles’ desire to pursue this profession himself.

Leclerc began his racing career karting before quickly progressing through karting championships to become Formula 2 Champion. Later he was invited into the Ferrari Driver Academy before switching teams and driving for Sauber (now Alfa Romeo).

At his inaugural Grand Prix race at Azerbaijan in 2018, he scored points, becoming the first Monaco driver since Louis Chiron in 1950 to do so. Three more points finishes followed through on this performance throughout 2018.

Professional Career

Leclerc Jr is currently part of the Ferrari Driver Academy and competing in Formula 2 for Prema Racing – making him one of the youngest Monegasque racers to participate in a feeder series for F1.

He quickly made an impressionful debut, qualifying on pole and winning both races of his debut season. Furthermore, he is currently the highest points scorer in the championship.

Leclerc’s success is often compared to that of his older brother Charles, currently driving for Sauber in Formula 1. Yet the circumstances under which each entered single-seaters differ considerably; Charles entered F1 via highly regarded karting championship, while Arthur entered as more modest driver at PREMA Racing, ultimately enjoying an easy rise that has seen one podium finish each season at his current level.

Achievement and Honors

Charles Leclerc had already achieved great success through the Ferrari Driver Academy before entering Formula 1, so it should come as no surprise that Arthur followed him into Formula 1. But has Arthur got what it takes to follow in his brother’s footsteps and join F1?

Leclerc began his career karting before competing in the Coupe de France Mini-Karting championship. Following some victories there he moved up to Formula E racing for Venturi Racing.

He made his debut in 2022 and quickly made an impression, leading to him being promoted into Formula 2 with DAMS for 2023 and going on to dominate it, scoring 60 points and three race victories – becoming the first Monegasque ever to win one a Grand Prix at the Belgian Grand Prix the following season.

Personal Life

Arthur Leclerc is Charles’ younger brother and an academy member of Ferrari’s Driver Academy. After beginning in karting he transitioned into single seaters before making his debut in French Formula 4 championship 2018 winning his inaugural race.

In 2020, he moved on to Prema Powerteam’s Formula Regional European championship as a Ferrari junior driver, competing under their banner with Prema Powerteam’s Prema Racing series. Winning his inaugural race and showing great promise throughout the year with pole position hat-trick at Misano and wins at Mugello were just highlights among many more impressive achievements during that campaign.

In 2022, he made the leap into F2 championship racing for DAMS Racing. Qualifying has been his main weakness so far but his ability to produce strong race pace will play a critical role in his success this season.

Net Worth

Charles Leclerc has amassed an immense net worth as an F1 driver for Ferrari, and it is expected to continue increasing as his salary and bonuses help bolster it, in addition to signing high-profile endorsement deals that contribute directly to his wealth accumulation.

Leclerc was born into a family that revered motorsport. His father, Herve, raced Formula 3 during the 90s – providing Leclerc with his initial exposure. Additionally, Jules Bianchi suffered a fatal crash at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix which ultimately resulted in his passing away.

Arthur Leclerc’s younger brother Arthur is competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for DAMS. After winning the Karting Championship last year and making his Formula 2 debut this year, Arthur has shown great promise as a racer and is likely to go far in his racing career.
