Facebook Dark Mode for Android & iOS on March – How to Activate it
Facebook does the same as its subsidiary WhatsApp and offers users an eye-friendly facebook dark mode. After the dark mode was initially only available for PC users, app users can now look forward to a darkened design. We will explain how to activate dark mode in the following text. Similar to the in-house messenger WhatsApp before, Facebook now offers a real dark mode; however, so far, this is mainly available in the desktop version. The Facebook executives announced in the middle of the year that the Facebook dark mode was gradually landing on the mobile versions; the availability has been limited to a fraction of the users so far.
But this is likely to change now; As a corresponding Twitter posting shows, Facebook now wants to roll out dark mode for users of the app on iOS and Android (via MacRumors ).

You can easily find out whether you can already access the dark mode: In the app, tap the three lines in the top right to open the menu. If you scroll down a bit, you will find the item “Settings and privacy”. If you see the option “Night mode” here, you can already use the dark mode in the Facebook app.
Since updates are usually rolled out in waves, it is quite possible that the function is not yet displayed; in this case, you should check again at a later point in time whether the dark mode is now available to you. Also, make sure you have the latest version of the Facebook app installed.
